1. We are looking for volunteers to work shifts at the front desk, assist with programs for children, teens, and adults, and to work behind the scenes by processing donated books, labeling materials, decorating for various holidays and events, and posting flyers for library events throughout the community. Opportunities may be weekly scheduled shifts or occasional tasks and errands as needed. We are especially in need of volunteers to assist with crafts and activities for children during story time and our Summer Reading Program.
Prospective volunteers can pick up an application at the library. Volunteers 18 and up must pass a background check and pay the processing fee (which will be refunded upon completion of 20 hours of service).
Teen volunteers are welcome! Volunteers ages 14 - 17 need a parent or a guardian to sign a permission form.
If you have a special skill or a unique hobby and would like to volunteer for a one-time program, performance, class, or demonstration, please let us know! We are always looking for people who are willing to share their knowledge with the community.
